If you experience an accident that involves dental or facial trauma, proceed to your nearest emergency room. Inform the ER doctor that we are providing the orthodontic care and they will contact us if necessary. If not, please call the office during regular hours to inform us of the accident and we will schedule an appointment to check the appliances.
If you have a loose bracket, try to replace the wire into the bracket with your fingers or tweezers. If you cannot replace it, cut or remove the wire and call the office during regular office hours.
If you have a long wire or bracket that is causing irritation, cover it with wax and call the office during regular office hours to schedule to have it clipped or adjusted.
If you are having a problem that is causing severe pain or bleeding, please call the office and listen for the on-call number and follow the instructions given. Please remember that after-hours visits are limited to certain hours and are subject to additional fees.
